FORMER Saints player and retired primary schoolteacher Peter Harvey has released his autobiography ‘Redhead with Fire in his boots: My Life in Rugby.
Peter, a member of the great Saints sides of the 1960s, describes his story as a unique view of social history, mixing experiences of both codes of rugby, with life in the classrooms and coal mines.
It is packed with detail about growing up in Carr Mill and his experiences of West Park Grammar School, where he began to build a formidable reputation as a rugby union player.
The autobiography is available priced £14.99 from Wardleworths, in St Helens and from Langtree Park. It can also be downloaded on Kindle.
