Readers identified this as the entrance to Victoria Park
READERS were in touch to tell me this picture, which featured on August 8, is the Bishop Road entrance to Victoria Park.
Meanwhile, Frank Owen, of Eccleston, was one of several readers who contacted me to confirm the picture from August 28 was the much missed Fleece Hotel in Church Street, St Helens.
The corner of the building in the foreground was the Williams Deacon Bank (now Royal Bank of Scotland).
