Friday, June 20 (1pm-4pm) and Thursday, June 26(1.30pm-3pm): Archaeological excavations in the rear garden at Rainford Library will be open to the public on Friday and the following Thursday there will be a guided heritage walk of the excavation and wider area given people an opportunity to see what's been happening at the dig.
Saturday, June 28 (6pm-9pm): Eccleston Smithy presentation of Murder at the Smithy. Tickets cost £15 including a buffet supper and first drink. Booking is essential. Call 01744 730744 or see the Facebook/website.
