Where are these little elves now from St Vincent's Junior School on Derbyshire Hill?
STEPHEN Foster writes: “I have come across this old photograph that was taken around 1966 (not sure of the exact year ). It shows my class from St Vincent’s junior school, Derbyshire Hill, getting ready to perform the Christmas play, The Elves and the Shoemaker.
I think our class teacher at the time was Miss Howarth.
“I can name some of the pupils as follows: Back row left to right, Anthony Hull, ??, Billy Dutton, Jacqueline ??, Alan Seddon, Sally Ann Talbot, John Andrews, Christine Mcinearney.
Second row L to R ??, Christine Hollinghurst, Sylvia Peters, ??, Kevin Price, ??, Dawn Considine, Gillian King, Linda Price, Barbara King.
Third row LtoR David Shaw, ??, Christine Martindale, Angela Roberts, ??
Front row L to R (elves) David Storey, me ( Stephen Foster), Peter Critchley, Philip Dorning, Dave Jones, Colin Walker, Ian Lonsdale, Paul Lawton.
Apart from David Storey, whom I see at Saints matches now and again, I don’t know the whereabouts of anyone else. I think Christine McInearney ( that was ) is a manager for the Church Square shopping centre in town. Sylvia Peters is the sister of Steve Peters who went on to play for Saints.
“It would be great if you could publish this photo to see if any other ex-pupils are still around”.
