Agnes Lingard

For Agnes Lingard 90 on 23rd January 2016. God Bless our Mum and may you continue to rest in peace. On 23rd January what would have been your 90th birthday. How we all still miss our wonderful Mother despite it being nigh on 11 years since you slipped away. For, like so many ladies, you dedicated your life to others; From the moment our grateful Dad won his beautiful Agnes's heart. To that dreadful moment when God took you to his side. You ran the warmest of homes and were a dutiful Mother right from the start. Your were the perfect Mother for Sue and Geoff, exercising great judgement, always with a tremendous love of life. We could never forget your appreciation of company, fun and having a good chat or the massive support you gave our Dad as his marvellous Wife. So it will come as no surprise that not a day goes by when our soft hearted, gracious Mum is not, at some point, on our mind. Conversation frequently centres on our Mother's role in shaping the fantastic lives of family left behind.. So we thank you a million times Mum for preparing us for the lives we so enjoy. We will always recall that you made so many personal sacrifices, and that you worked so hard for the happiness of your little girl and boy. Even though time has softened the pain of your passing. Each year on your special day we attend your grave with splintered heart, still aching for our greatest friend and inspiration, wishing we did not have to spend these occasions apart. Daughter Sue Phillips, Son Geoff Lingard and Son in Law Dave Phillips.
