SOME weather experts have suggested it was the coldest August in 100 years, but September has started with sunshine.
Warm temperatures are set to continue in St Helens this week, with daytime peaks expected in the early 20Cs until Saturday.
It makes a change from August when rain and Arctic winds put a dampener on what had been a good summer.
