Darcie's Dance World shop launches on Cambridge Road, St Helens

Darcie’s Dance World has been launched on Cambridge Road by Danielle, 35, who has a background and passion for dance, which began from a young age.

She danced from the ages of three to 19, attending Elizabeth Hill Dance School and competed in a wide range of competitions.

Danielle also attended dance college following her school days.

Having always wanted to open her own dance shop, when the chance came for her to make this a reality she seized it.

“The shop sells dance dancewear, gymnastic clothing, boys’ dance clothing, different accessories and different styles of shoes,” said Danielle, from Eccleston.

“I was a dancer when I was little and it has been a dream of mine to open a shop and I got the opportunity to do it.

“It was always my dream and I just thought let’s do it, why not?”

Danielle’s five-year-old daughter Darcie has followed in her mum’s steps and is a keen dancer herself, with the shop named after her.

Danielle says the shop has proved busy over weekends so far, and also stays open late on Thursdays.

“With the cost of living, I am trying to keep the prices down as much as I can,” she added.

“This is so the parents can still afford their children to have a hobby.”

Darcie’s Dance World held an official opening last weekend during which Danielle received many kind words and wishes for her new venture.

“I am truly blown away by the level support I have received so far and it just makes so excited for what’s to come,” she added.
